Can anything be proven in science? How do researchers get results? What is the difference between a variable and a constant? All these questions and more will be answered this week at Mote Day Camp! Each day will have campers discovering how Mote’s researchers form their questions and seek out the answers of the ocean. Self-led research, data collection, hands-on experiments and field explorations and a whole lot of fun await. Sign up for one day or all 3 to unlock the secrets of science!
Weekly Camp Themes:
Monday, June 30, 2025: The Scientific Method: Hypothesis
It’s never too early to start questioning how the natural world works. Campers will form their own observations and hypotheses of why things are the way that they are in the local ecosystems surrounding Mote’s City Island campus.
Tuesday, July 1, 2025: The Scientific Method: Data
Come explore the marine mammal center where campers will gather their own data through observation and gain a better understanding of how Mote’s residents spend their days.
Wednesday, July 2, 2025: The Scientific Method: Results
What’s the significance? Campers will work together to record their results in fun and unique ways. They’ll take the lead on their own project and gain a better understanding of how science can be presented.
