Children First- Head Start

Children First provides early education and family strengthening programs at 15 locations throughout Sarasota County. Kindergarten readiness is our ultimate goal. As the county's exclusive provider of Head Start and Early Head Start, we serve at-risk children from birth to five years old, and their families. We offer what every child deserves—a safe place to learn, nutritious meals, and a nurturing environment.

Children First is recognized by the National Head Start Association as a "Program of Excellence" and ranks in the top one percent of all Head Start programs nationwide.
