Rowlett Academy for Arts and Communication Magnet Program

The magnet theme at Rowlett focuses on performing arts, visual arts, and communication. Classes include Art, Dance, Drama, Music, Strings, Physical Education, Puppetry, Film and TV Production, Dual Language Instruction, and Technology. All students have opportunities to participate in performances and showcase their work through exhibitions. Technology supports the theme. Many students feature work on their websites.

There is an annual Arts Fest where students showcase their work, families can do art projects, and all can enjoy entertainment provided by students and staff.

Physical Education classes are part of the regular curriculum and team sports are the focus. In addition, intermediate students can challenge themselves to win the Presidential Fitness award.
