Living Oaks SRQ

Living Oaks SRQ is in the process of becoming a new school for children in grades pre-k through the 8th, with grades 9 through12 planned for the future. We’re located in Sarasota, FL to the east of I-75 near the intersection of Fruitville Rd and Lorraine Rd. Our campus is located on a beautiful 10-acre horse farm. We will be allowing our friends who are homeschooling their children, as well as homeschool co-ops, to use our spaces during 23/24 as we work to finalize our registration as a new private school to open for the 24/25 school year

The Living Oaks SRQ curriculum will be based on the educational philosophy of Rudolf Steiner. That being said, we are not members, nor are we seeking membership, of the association of Waldorf Schools. Our school and our teacher training programs have been created to preserve the power and the beauty of Steiner’s insights.

An outline of the admissions process can be found on the Admissions page. We can connect you with the homeschool community that is using our space during the 23/24 school year, and we can add you to the waiting list for the 24/25 school year for Living Oaks SRQ.

If you are interested in training to become a teacher please contact us here. We are creating a teacher training academy here in the Sarasota, FL area to carry Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy of education into the future. Our first training event, EQUIPPED, was held in July of 2023 and it was an amazing success.
