Prew Academy's mission is to provide students who have different learning styles with a flexible curriculum in a warm, nurturing, 'family' setting. We are committed to schedule all students heterogeneously to facilitate self-acceptance, confidence in their abilities, enthusiasm for knowledge, academic success and a commitment to continued education. The basic principle on which the school is founded is the belief that each student has dignity, worth, and the potential to learn.
Prew Academy recognizes the fact that academic success is contingent upon a sense of self-worth and for that reason Prew helps students develop self-esteem through positive reinforcement and individual achievement.
The school's community is one of varied backgrounds and intellectual ability. All classes encompass a broad range of abilities. Small class sizes permit a great deal of individualized instruction. This individualization allows advanced students the opportunity to follow honors level for each course, while others follow a core curriculum. Study skill courses are available on a one-to-one basis for all students for remediation, organization skills, additional work in areas of weakness, or preparation for college admissions test.
