Laurel Civic Emergency Assistance

More than 40% of the families in Sarasota County are one emergency away from financial crisis. Our experienced staff are available to meet with residents in need to assess the situation and provide emergency financial assistance for rental and utility payments, necessary auto repairs, and childcare to prevent homelessness and job loss. Such payment assistance is designed to help individuals and families move out of a crisis situation.

We move families from crisis to stability with a holistic approach that provides workshops and wraparound services. We encourage those living on the financial edge to enroll in our empowerment programs designed to help individuals take a hard look at their own resources, mindsets, and actions, and to learn how to build their own plan for future self-sufficiency and prosperity.

Food Distribution:
Ending hunger is the first step in empowering our communities. If you need food, we invite you to attend our Client Choice Food Distributions. These bi-monthly distributions are made possible by our partners at All Faiths Food Bank and the USDA.
Days/Hours:
1st and 3rd Thursday of every month from 10 am–12 pm and from 4-6 pm.
