Sasota Honey Company is a family owned and community driven apiary company specializing in small-batch, regional-based local and artisan honey as well as promoting artists’ unique, one-of-kind, bee-themed wares at our newly opened location near downtown Sarasota.

We have a very special commitment to the special needs community. Through product sales and services, Sarasota Honey Company is able to offer life skills, academic, and employment skills to young adults with special needs that have age out of the school system. We are proud that many of our products are made by and benefit people with special needs and promote honey bee awareness through free programs offered by Sarasota Honey Company.

Our new shop offers:

Education Center: We are proud to offer variety of classes beyond our “Beekeeper Experience Tour.” Learn in depth beekeeping, wine/cheese making, chicken/duck keeping, gardening, art, canning, candle making, soap making, cosmetics, lotions, and healing properties of herbs and teas. We can custom field trips and parties to any age group.

The Beekeeper Experience for tourist and locals:
Fun for the whole family! Learn about the amazing honeybee, honey harvest, benefits of the hive, honey sampling, basic beekeeping and get up close and personal with our friendly honey bees.

Raw Vision Art Gallery: Comprised of a variety of artists and aims to promote expressive and vocational opportunities in the arts for people with developmental, physical and emotional disabilities, as well as people in healthcare settings, children, and veterans. Partners include: Creative Clay, Easter Seals, The Haven

Gift Shop and Bee Supply: From the beekeeper to the Queen Bee in your life, our fun bee-themed space has a wide variety of products to ensure that there is “something for everyone” We are the only beekeeping supplier on the west coast of Florida.

Artisan Honey Bar
You don’t have to be 21 to sit at our honey bar! We specialize in small batch urban raw honey. Sample the taste of Manasota which has won among the best honey in Florida.

Honey Bee Sanctuary Gardens and Nursey
View our garden hives and visit our eclectic honey bee gardens. Beautifully designed with a variety of edibles, flowers, exotic, tropical plants and bushes. See something you must add to your garden…most of the plants in our garden is available for purchase.
