Greens of Manatee

In 2008 a community minded group of individuals banded together to start a Not for Profit corporation to rescue the former Heather Hills Golf Course from the fate of conversion and development into yet more high density housing. The 50 plus acres had served the local community for over 30 years as an aesthetically pleasing open green space offering affordable recreational and social opportunities. In May 2010 the group was rewarded when their efforts and contributions enabled their Not for Profit “Greens of Manatee Golf Club, Inc” to purchase this property.
