Palmetto Estuary Park is a 20-acre site located on the Manatee River. This award winning park is a surprisingly tranquil haven, easily accessible on U.S. Highway 41/301. The estuary currently contains threatened habitats, as identified by the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council. The large mangrove swamp and estuarine habitat is utilized by a large number of listed wading birds.
The park boasts a playground, fishing pier, picnic area, trails, docks, and restrooms.
