Crossing through Oscar Scherer State Park and connecting to the Venetian Waterway Park, riders can spy a variety of different wildlife and plant life in one ride. Gopher tortoises, foxes, bobcats, alligators and scrub jays are just a few of the creatures that can be spotted along the trail. The Legacy Trail is a 25-mile round trip multi-use recreational trail in Sarasota County, Florida running between Sarasota near Palmer Ranch and Venice. The rail trail is part of the former Seminole Gulf Railway corridor. Offered Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.
