Psychoeducational Services of Southwest Florida

Licensed School Psychologist, Michele Messina is the owner of Psychoeducational Services of Southwest Florida. She is available to administer psycho-educational assessments of intelligence, academic achievement, cognitive processing, social development, emotional regulation, adaptive functioning, school readiness, executive functioning, and attention/ concentration. Her evaluations include valuable recommendations for both school and home.

She provides a range of counseling services to address the needs of students and their families and is a Certified Child & Adolescent Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP-CA). Her approach focuses on teaching children how to access internal and external resources that will boost their confidence and foster adaptive thinking. An integral aspect of this approach is working with parents and guardians to support positive results in their child. As a parent of a child with disabilities herself, Michele recognizes that parenting a child with special needs and navigating academic supports poses unique challenges. She provides counseling supports to parents, guardians and couples to improve communication and develop family routines to support success for their child.
