HalfSteps: Music Together Music Classes

Music Together has been connecting families for over 30 years through live music-making, instrument play, dancing, singing, and creating a community in every classroom around the world. Since we have been forced to socially distance ourselves, it’s more important than ever to replace that social atmosphere with engagement at home. With Music Together® Online, music class comes to your living room! Every week for eight weeks, Ms. Tanya will lead your whole family in fun music activities using songs from the Maracas Song Collection. Plus, you’ll get a digital recording, songbook, and bonus activities so the musical fun can continue all week long! It’s the perfect way to deepen your little one’s music education from home. Spring semester begins April 13, but if you join us late, don’t worry—you won’t miss a beat! The lesson videos will be archived so you can access them at any time during the semester. From birth through the preschool years, Music Together nurtures each child’s natural musicality in a playful, musically rich learning environment. It is a wonderful precursor to formal music lessons, as we focus on developing basic music competence: singing in tune and keeping rhythm.

We also believe that music learning supports all learning. Music plays an invaluable role in physical, emotional, and intellectual development of babies and children. Our research-based weekly music program features a new music collection each semester designed to help your child learn at his or her own pace, in a way that’s developmentally appropriate.

We offer classes for Mixed Ages (0-5, so siblings can be together!), Babies Only (0-8 months), and Spanish immersion (great for both native speakers and families new to the language).

Additional Info: Limit one demo class per family, per semester. Classes are 45-mins long and run for 6 to 10 weeks, depending on the semester. We offer sibling discounts, free tuition for siblings under 9 months with a paid older sibling, and free classes for ALL newborns until their 4-month birthday!
