Spotlight Theatre Productions - Kids Performance Troupe

Spotlight Kids is an Elite Musical Theatre Troupe for ages 6-18 that offers an advanced program for students passionate about in-depth Musical Theatre training. Over the course of 9 months, students engage in a conservatory-style curriculum, working closely with Professional Teaching Artists in both classes and rehearsals. This comprehensive program includes acting exercises, performance opportunities, and training in the art of musical theater.

This year Spotlight Kids will train while rehearsing the production of Shrek Jr! They will be trained on how to audition and prep to audition for roles in the production and then we will start rehearsals on specific sections of the show that we will take to Access Broadway Competition in March and Universal in April and then our final production of the show here in Sarasota at the Spotlight Fringe Theater, a unique flexible space for performances.

This troupe rehearses on Thursday evenings from 5:00-8:00 (at times they will be called a bit earlier or later)

- Participate in at least one dance class per week at any dance studio
- Take private voice lessons
