Special Day Foundation

For the family of a person with a developmental disability, daily life can pose many challenges and setbacks. These families and caregivers constantly need to prepare and adapt to their loved one’s changing needs. Some organizations offer support to these families for transportation, education, and medical-related services, but beyond basic care, most families are on their own. Special Day Foundation offers a new kind of program to the special needs population which not only impacts the lives of individuals, but their caregivers as well.

Caregivers and families are welcome to join us on these new and exciting adventures. They can experience the joy and pride that comes from watching their loved ones experience and achieve fishing, boating, and other outings for the first time. Joining in on the trips provides families the opportunity to create lasting memories. It allows them to build support and effective networking systems by meeting other special needs people and their caregivers.
