Bimini Bay Sailing Lessons

Private lessons are available at all skill levels.
The basic six hour course starts with the student and instructor sailing together in a small sailboat best suited for your comfort level. Your instruction may start with a Sunfish, a Capri 16.5, or a WindRider 17 Trimaran and then move on to another boat as your skills progress. Depending on the weather, the last part of your lessons may be sailing out to an island and back with the instructor in one boat and the student in another. Some of the topics for the small boat course are wind awareness, terms and boat parts, rigging, knots, points of sail, turning (tacking and gybing), safety, weather, sail trim, capsize recovery, and most of all feeling the enjoyment and magic of sailing.
