For years locals in the Sarasota area have yearned for a large scale convention dedicated to all things geek! THE DARK SIDE – serving the Sarasota area for 18 years – created just such an event, and SiestaCon was born! And it was EXTREMELY well received, so we’re making this an annual event! Celebrate your fandom! Make new friends! Enjoy what brings you joy!
Celebrity Guests - We welcome Walter E. Jones (the original Black Power Ranger) and Michele Knotz (the voice of Misty, May, Nurse Joy and Team Rocket’s Jessie in the Pokémon franchise, in addition to numerous Pokémon creatures) to SiestaCon 2025!
Comic Book Artists - SiestaCon 2025 has an all-star list of comic creators! Get an autograph, perhaps a sketch, check out their panel, or maybe buy some of their original artwork!
Tournaments - Tournaments all day for all your favorite TCGs. Magic, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Lorcana and Star Wars Unlimited with awesome prizes for top finishers!
Food Truck Rally - SO much amazing food! Sample dishes created by the best Food Truck (and tent) chefs in the Sarasota area! Definitely something for everyone!
Artists - Do you play Magic: The Gathering? SiestaCon 2025 is hosting four (4) artists whose work has graced the cards! Buy an artist proof, get a card signed, and then get it graded by CGC!
Q&A Panels - SiestaCon 2025 has some serious panels lined up. Get the 411 on topics including the use of AI in creative spaces, the history of comics, what it’s like to work in the comic industry, and more!
Cosplay Artists & Contests - Prepare to have your mind BLOWN when you see the fantastic COSPLAYERS in attendance at SiestaCon! Dress up and participate in a Costume Contest!
Activities? Why yes, there will be activities at SiestaCon 2025! We’re hosting a Comic Creation Class, STEM with LEGO Robotics, a Blood Drive, Free Caricatures, Free Face Painting, Custom Cars, Painting with a Twist, and so much more!
What’s a convention without absolutely cool stuff to buy?! The SiestaCon vendor list has grown and evolved, including the addition of a tent outside with 18 more tables to shop!
