Join us in Macy's Court for the 34th annual Engineers Week Toothpick Bridge Building Contest - a fun, annual event for students in the Sarasota & Manatee County area. Sponsored by local engineering professional societies and run completely by volunteers, the contest awards cash prizes to the most efficient bridge designs every year. The event was started in 1989 as an outreach activity for local engineers who want to inspire students to become interested in science, technology, engineering, and math.
