Sammy’s Run is thrilled to continue their tradition of purchasing a racing wheelchair for a challenged athlete. This family-friendly event is for runners of all ages and abilities, featuring a “Duo team” wheelchair push division. There will be finisher medals for the first 500 registered 5K participants. Festivities following the 5K event: Food, drinks, music and awards.
$4,000.00 in Cash prizes will be awarded to Overall Winners. Age group winners who place 1st thru 6th will receive awards.
Train up for this one and get ready for some great competition on this flat and fast course featuring timing clocks and checkpoints at Mile 1, 1.55 Turnaround, Mile 2, and Mile 3.
All the proceeds will go toward Event expenses and the purchase of the racing wheelchair (cost of $5,000.00); another challenged athlete will also receive a wheelchair bicycle (cost of $10,000.00).
