Back to School Block Party

The League of Women Voters of Manatee County and Bold Voter Action are sponsoring a Back to School Block Party in the Oneco area. It is going to be fun and benefit the community with social services, education and fun activities. Meals-on-Wheels is providing food bags and we will be having a food drive at the same time. MCR Health will provide health services. Local businesses are supplying free food for the attendees. Promotions have gone out in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole. Flyers and posters are in the neighborhood now right now to promote this wonderful local event.

There will be free school supplies and backpacks for local school children given out at the event. We can use assistance in funding free school supplies and any support would be greatly appreciated. You can even purchase supplies yourself and tag them as your gift.
