Sheriff Rick Wells recognizes that now, more than ever, families in Manatee County need a safe, fun environment to trick-or-treat and enjoy some warm food and good company. Our staff, community partners, and residents need time to recover from the recent hurricanes, so we have postponed the 2024 Manatee Sheriff's Spooktactical Night until Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024. We invite you to mark your calendars for the new date and join our MCSO Units and community partners for vehicle displays, demonstrations, children's activities, food, and trick-or-treating from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the MCSO Operations Center located at 600 301 Blvd. W., Bradenton.
This event is free to attend, and free hotdogs and water will be available while supplies last. There will also be food trucks with additional food options available for purchase. Free parking will be available at the former Desoto Square Mall across from the Operations Center on 301 Blvd. W. Deputies will direct traffic for attendees to cross the street to the event. Handicapped parking will be available on-site. Please follow the posted signage for directions.
In light of the impact of the hurricanes, we are partnering with the Food Bank of Manatee to host a food drive during the event and encourage attendees who are able and would like to help, to bring a canned good or non-perishable food item. We will have yellow food bank bins placed at the entrance to the event.
