Mote Homeschool Day - Enrichment Engineers (STEM Lab)

Animals interact with their environment in a variety of ways. They hide under things, rub against items, smell things, investigate new objects, forage for food and much more depending on the animal. Zoos and Aquariums develop environmental enrichment devices (EEDs) for our animals to encourage these natural behaviors while under human care. During this hands-on program, students will complete a STEM challenge to design an EED for a resident animal at Mote followed by a visit to the Marine Mammal Center to see some EEDs in use.
Pre-registration is required. This class is offered on the following days and times, with the following age requirements:
11/7 @ 10:00 a.m. for ages 6-9
11/8 @ 10:00 a.m. for ages 10-14
11/9 @ 10:00 a.m. for ages 6-14
11/9 @ 1:00 p.m. for ages 6-14
