Sarasota Youth Opera's Carmen Children Chorus Auditions

Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Sarasota Opera's Mainstage Production of Carmen for a part in the Children's Chorus. This is an exiting opportunity for singers in Youth Opera to be a part of the mainstage productions, singing alongside the professionals on the Opera House stage!!
The Children's Chorus will be 15-20 singers, female or male unchanged voices. Those who are cast will be expected to attend any/all rehearsals called and ALL dress rehearsals and performances. We expect to have rehearsals and performances go late into the night because of nighttime performances. Singers may be released as late as 11:00 PM.
Tuesday, November 14th: 5:30-6:50 PM Audition Preparation Day! The audition workshop will take place in Kamlet Rehearsal Room at Sarasota Opera House. This preparation day is REQUIRED for those who wish to audition as we will review the material sung in the audition and how the auditions will work.
Thursday, November 16th: 5:30 PM Auditions with Maestro DeRenzi!
Singers will be notified of the casting by the end of Friday, November 17th.
