Get ready to celebrate in a unique and eco-friendly way at our Holiday for the Birds tree trimming event, brought to you in partnership with the Florida Native Plants Nursery & Landscaping! Participants will have the opportunity to purchase and decorate a Southern Red Cedar tree with bird-friendly ornaments. These special decorations include natural treats and nesting materials, providing essential support for our feathered friends during the winter season.
Southern Red Cedar trees provide vital foraging, nesting, and roosting areas for many birds, including Cedar Waxwings and Eastern Bluebirds. After the holiday festivities, you can choose to plant your tree in your yard, contributing to local bird habitats. Alternatively, you can return your tree to us at Bay Preserve, where it will be planted at one of our conservation properties.
If you're looking to escape the retail frenzy of the season, this event offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to nature while celebrating the holidays in a meaningful way. Holiday for the Birds is not only a joyful experience for family and friends but also a chance to support our mission of preserving and protecting the natural environment. The cost to participate is $50 per group of up to 6 people. Each group ticket includes one small, table top size red cedar tree, bird-friendly trimmings, and light refreshments. Only 15 trees are available for this intimate event. Register early to reserve your spot!
