Suncoast Remake Learning Days - Preserving Our Coral Reefs

One of the most important parts of the ocean is the coral reef; it is like a rainforest of the ocean. Although only 1% of the ocean, coral reefs support over 25% of all marine life on earth. In this STEAM and arts-integrated program, student participants are costumed as scientists, technologists, engineers, media artists and mathematicians, to show their roles in rebuilding the reef. Other students are costumed to show that the reef is rebuilt and healthy. Participants can build instruments that mimic underwater sounds and work as a team to create the musical harmony of the reef.
