MVFP Girls Fastpitch Softball Clinic at Wellfield Park

Join MVFP's summer skills clinic for fastpitch players! Our sessions cover infield, outfield, hitting, base running, sliding (for younger players), sliding & bunting (for older players), and much more. Our passionate trainers are local college and high school players excited to share their expertise with your daughters.
Our trainers bring a wealth of experience and passion for the game. Bri Weimer and Bailee Riggins are both VHS graduates and Daytona State College softball team members. Bri Weimer graduated in Spring 2024 and is transferring to Mars Hill College (NC) to continue playing softball while finishing her degree. Bailee has completed her first year at Daytona State College and is returning for her second season this Fall. Taylor Halback completed her second season with the State College of Florida Manatees! Halback and Weimer are members of the VHS Varsity team of 2022. Riley Sullivan and KK Smith are experienced players from VHS with three years of Varsity softball experience and three summer seasons with the Sarasota Heat.
Plus, additional high school players from the area will serve as assistant coaches during the sessions
Registration is open to all players in the area.
Session One: Grades 3 -5
- Dates: August 6 & 7 and August 13 & 14
- Time: 5:00 to 6:45 pm
- Location: Field One, Wellfield Park, Venice
- Cost: $50
- Equipment to bring: glove, facemask, bat, and spikes
Session Two: Grades 6-8
- Dates: August 6 & 7 and August 13 & 14
- Time: 7:00 to 8:30 pm
- Location: Field One, Wellfield Park, Venice
- Cost: $70
- Equipment to bring: glove, facemask, bat, and spikes
The rain makeup date is scheduled for August 21.
