Oscar Scherer State Park Annual Earth Day & Scrub Jay Festival

This year's Annual Earth Day Festival will be welcoming the Annual Scrub Jay Festival to join in the celebration at Oscar Scherer. These two events bring awareness to the conservation, preservation and the importance of protecting what we have. This year's Global Earth Day Theme is "Invest In Our planet." Guided tram tours will be available with knowledgeable interpreters. Guided hikes will be offered where you can learn about the scrub habitat, the characteristics and family dynamics and in search of Scrub jay sightings, the only bird that lives exclusively in Florida. Live music during the festival on the park stage. The photo contest exhibit will be on display and People's Choice will be open for voting in the Nature Center. Plenty of kids activities and games will be offered. Plenty of family friendly booths and exhibitors. Food vendors & a Scrub Jay presentation with Q & A. OneBlood donation mobile will also be on site. Festival & park entry is free.
