SDMC Visual and Performing Arts Summer Camp

The School District of Manatee County VPA Summer Camp program provides the opportunity for current 5th – 8th graders (or rising 6th – rising 9th) students to participate in high-quality, standards-based activities and experiences focusing on one of the Arts: Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Theater/dance or Art. Each camp will conclude with a parent/community showcase highlighting student performances in that specific art form. This is a great opportunity for students entering 6th grade in Fall 2024 to start playing an instrument, learning art, theatre, dance, and voice and get a jump start on their school year! This is also a fun opportunity for students who are currently playing an instrument or singing to work with professional instructors and continue improving their skills over the summer.

Session 1* June 3 – 6 and 10 – 13, 2024
Art Camp at Braden River Middle School
Band Camp at Lakewood Ranch High School
Theatre/Dance Camp at Parrish Community High School

Session 2* June 17, 18, 20, 21 and June 24 – 27, 2024
Chorus Camp at Parrish Community High School
Orchestra Camp at Lakewood Ranch High School


*Students may register for one camp in Session 1 and one camp in Session 2.
If students wish to register for both sessions, please complete a separate registration form for each camp.

Free and open to all SDMC Public or Public Charter enrolled students – Current 5th – 8th Graders (or Rising 6th – Rising 9th)
Beginners/those with no experience are welcome!!
Attending Both Weeks of Camp is expected
Students who choose to attend camp are expected to take the same course during the next school year.
Instruments provided if needed
All Art supplies provided for free
Free Breakfast/Lunch Provided
